Rules of Publication in the Journal
Firstly: General Rules:
o The manuscript submitted must be original and must not have been published in another journal.
o It should be characterized with originality, novelty, innovation and additional knowledge.
o The paper should fall within the journal's area of specialization.
o It should not be an excerpt from a previously published paper by the researcher.
o It should take into account the rules of an original scholarly research and its methodology.
o The paper must not exceed 12,000 words and must not exceed (70) pages.
o The details of the paper must be written in both Arabic and English languages on the title page, and it should include: (title of the paper, name of the author, their academic rank, their academic affiliation "department and institution", their e-mail address.
o The abstract in both Arabic and English languages should include the following elements: (the subject, the purpose, methodology and significant findings). The length of the abstract and its translation must not exceed 250 words, with emphasis on writing it with proper academic language. Also, the accuracy of the translation should be well noted.
o Each abstract (English/Arabic) should be followed with keywords that would accurately enunciate the research subject, and major issues that were discussed in the paper, provided they do not exceed 6 words.
o The paper should include the following, in a single file:
? Title page with the author's information in Arabic and English languages.
? An abstract in Arabic and another one in English.
? Introduction which must include a literature review and the research's educational addition.
? Body of the research.
? A conclusion that includes the research findings and recommendations.
? Bibliography in Arabic
? Transliteration of Arabic bibliography in Latin alphabet on a separate list.
? Necessary appendices (if any).
o If the research is published in paper form (hardcopy), the researcher will be given 10 copies of his published paper.
o In case the paper is approved for publication, the journal assumes all its copyrights and reserves the right to republish it in hard or electronic copy, and it reserves the right to include it in local and global databases with or without compensation, and without having to obtain the researcher's consent.
o It is imperative upon the researcher to painstakingly review his paper to avoid any linguistic or typographical error.
o The author shall not republish his paper that has been accepted for publication in the journal in any other publishing platform without a prior written consent from the editor-in-chief.
o Opinions expressed in the published papers reflect the views of the authors only and do not necessarily reflect the view of the journal.
Second: Technical Rules:
o The page margins of the manuscript should be 1.5cm on the top, bottom and left and 2.5cm from the right page, the line spacing between the paragraphs should be double and measured at 0.9, while the height should be 17cm and the width 24cm.
o The body of the research in Arabic and its abstract should be written in Traditional Arabic light font with size 16, while the titles should be written in Al-Mateen bold font with the same size, and the footnote with size 14, and light font with size 10 for tables and figures, and bold font for table headers and comments.
o The English text should be written in Times New Roman light font with size 12 for the abstract and body of the research and bold for headings, and size 10 with light for footnotes, tables and figures, and bold font for table headers and comments, with a proper typesetting of the poems.
o The Quranic verses should be written with the Ottomani pattern with flowering parenthesis, relying on the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Quran software.
o The footnote of the research should be written at the bottom of each page with an automated numbering.
· The writing style and documentation format approved by the journal is that of (Chicago) according to the details below:
o Citations from books and other sources of information should be documented in the footnote, by following the format below:
Begin with the author followed by a comma, then the book title in parenthesis followed by a full stop, then the edition number followed by a comma, then place of publication followed by a colon, then the publishing house followed by a comma, then the publication year followed by a comma, placing the publication details in parenthesis, and then the volume and page numbers separated by a colon.
e.g. Muhammad ibn Ahmad Al-Dhahabi, “Siyar A’laam Al-Nubalaa”. investigated and edited by Shu’aib Al-Arnaout, (11th edition, Beirut: Muassat Al-Resaalah, 2001) 12: 148.
b- Research works published in periodicals:
Begin with the author followed by a comma, then the journal title in quotation marks followed by a full stop, then name of the journal in italics followed by the issue number, followed by a comma, then publication date in parenthesis followed by a colon and then the page number.
e.g. Abdul-Aziz ibn Abdurrahman Al-Dwamir, “Anaaween Kutub Al-Tafseer Diraasah Taaseeliyyah”. Tibyan Journal for Quranic Studies, issue number 28, (2017): 470.
c- Recurrence of a reference in the research work:
The documentation is abridged using the title of the author followed by a comma, then title of the book followed by a comma, then the page number.
e.g: Al-Tabari, “Jami' Al-Bayaan”, 10: 236.
d- Documentation from more than one reference belonging to two different authors:
The two references should be separated by a semi-colon.
e.g: Al-Nawawi, "Al-Minhaaj", 311; and Al-Marrdaawi, "Al-Insaaf", 7: 234.
e- Documentation from a website:
Documentation is done from websites as usual and followed by the statement: Retrieved on / / and then by the link of the website e.g: Ibrahim bin Ali Al-‘Ubaid, “Ahadith Al-Qiraah Al-Waridah Fee Salatai Al-Zhuhr Wal-‘Asr Jam’an Wa Dirasah”. Islamic University Journal, Issue number 125, (2003): 102. “Retrieved on 15/ 05 /1439AH from: http://docportal.iu.edu.sa/iumag/pdf/83.pdf.
The research should be appended with a list of primary and secondary Arabic references arranged in the order of authors' surnames. It should be taken into account to indent the first line by five-point outward spacing as follows:
Author's surname, first and second names. The book title distinguished by quotation marks “”. investigator/translator. (edition, place of publication: publisher, year of publication).
Al-Dhahabi, Muhammad bin Ahmad. “Siyarr A'laam Al-Nubalaa”. Investigated and edited by Shu'aib Al-Arna'out. (11th edition, Beirut: Mu'assasat –Al-Resaalah, 2001).
Author's surname, first and second names. The research title distinguished by quotation marks “”, name of periodical distinguished in italics, followed by issue number, (publication date) followed by a colon, and then the page numbers of the research.
Al-Dwamir, Abdul-Aziz ibn Abdurrahman. “Anaaween Kutub Al-Tafseer Dirasah Taaseeliyyah”. Tibyan Journal for Quranic Studies, issue number 28, (2017): 431-477.
o The English bibliography comes after the Arabic bibliography arranged in alphabetical order according to the authors' surnames, and should include the original English references and other references transliterated from Arabic according to the provisions of the following paragraph.
o The author should transliterate Arabic references in Latin alphabet and include them in the English bibliography (having stated them in the Arabic bibliography in Arabic language) according to the following example:

Research papers published in English in the original source where citation was made are exempted from this rule as shown in the example below:

Fifth: Research refereeing procedures:
o The author sends his paper to the journal electronically in (Word) and (PDF) formats.
o The author writes the journal's editor-in chief requesting for his paper to be peer-reviewed and published.
o Attachment of a brief biography in one page containing the most important academic output of the author.
o The author signs a written undertaking that his paper has never been published or submitted for publication in other journals and that he would not submit it for publication in any other journal before finalizing its peer-review procedures by the journal.
o The editorial board reserves every right to conduct a preliminary examination on the research paper and subsequently decide its eligibility for peer-reviewing or not.
o In case it is resolved that the paper is not eligible for peer-reviewing, the author will be notified and the journal is not obliged to state the reason for rejection.
o If it is resolved that the paper is eligible for peer-reviewing, it will be sent to two reviewers at least.
o When the reviewers finalize their reports on the paper, the author will be issued a notification of the result of the peer-reviewing in form of any of the following instances:
a- Acceptance of the paper for direct publication or after making certain modifications.
b- Modification of the paper and then peer-reviewing it again.
c- Rejection of the research paper.
o The author may express in a detailed report his or her point of view about the remarks of the referees that he/she did not agree with.
o If the author fails to modify his paper within the given period, his paper will be rejected.
o The editorial board reserves the right to determine research publication priorities and technicalities.
