The study aimed to identify organizational
silence and its relationship to organizational effectiveness from the point of
view of academic leaders at Northern Border University in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. This was done based on dimensions that represent organizational silence
and organizational effectiveness. The study adopted the descriptive survey
method by surveying the opinions of 93 students from the point of view of
academic leaders at the Northern Border University in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia through a controlled questionnaire. The results showed that the level of
organizational silence was medium, that organizational effectiveness was
medium, and that there was a strong negative relationship between
organizational silence and organizational effectiveness. The need to work on
finding appropriate mechanisms to enhance organizational effectiveness, and to
develop practices of organizational silence and organizational effectiveness in
a way that enhances positive effects and minimizes negative ones.
