The present study aims to uncover the
direct and indirect causal relationships of the successful intelligence,
academic perseverance, and engagement in learning, the study used the
descriptive approach, and the researcher applied three scale: The successful
intelligence scale, the academic perseverance scale, and the engagement in
learning scale, on a stratified random sample of (200) male and female
students, the results showed that:
- There is a positive,
statistically significant correlation between the scores of the study sample on
the scale of successful intelligence and engagement in learning.
- There is a direct, statistically
significant effect of successful intelligence on the academic perseverance.
- There is no indirect effect of
successful intelligence in engaging in learning through academic perseverance
as a mediating variable.
The study recommended to pay attention
to the positive variables which affects the student’s university life and make
the university environment more motivating and supportive, which contributes to
improving students engagement in learning
