The current study aimed to identify the
most important applications of curriculum-based measurement in the field of
learning disabilities and to detect the level of knowledge and implementation
of teachers of students with learning disabilities in general education schools
to the applications of curriculum-based measurement according to the variables
(educational stage، educational
qualification، years of experience، and number of training courses). The study employed a
descriptive analytical method to address the theoretical question and utilized
a descriptive survey method to answer the applied questions. The researcher
designed a questionnaire consisting of (30) items as a tool for data collection، which was distributed to the study sample of (260) teachers of
students withithlearning disabilities in general education schools in Riyadh
city. The results of the study concluded that the most important applications
of curriculum-based measurement in the field of learning disabilities are
carried out through a variety of the following procedures: screening process، determining eligibility،
ongoing monitoring progress،
directing the teaching process،
and formulating the goals of the individual educational plan.The results of the
study showed also that there is a clear decrease in the knowledge and practice
of teachers of students with learning disabilities in the applications of
curriculum- based measurement in the field of learning disabilities. "The
study recommends providing professional development to both pre-service and
in-service teachers، including training
them in curriculum-based measures،
and developing guidelines for implementing curriculum-based measures in the
context of learning disabilities.
