مشكلات إدارة السنة التحضيرية في جامعة جدة في ضوء أبعاد "Alexander and Gardner" التأسيسية والحلول لمعالجتها (دراسة نوعية) 

The problems of managing the preparatory year at the University of Jeddah in light of the foundational dimensions of "Alexander and Gardner" and the solutions to address them (a qualitative study)

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى رصد مشكلات إدارة السنة التحضيرية في جامعة جدة (مسار العلوم الإنسانية) وفق توفر الأبعاد التأسيسية (الفلسفة، التكاملية، التعلم مدى الحياة، التواصل الفعال، التوافق مع الحياة الجامعية، البيئة الجامعية الشاملة، التحسين المستمر) والعمل على تحديد الحلول لمعالجتها، واستخدم الباحث المنهج النوعي للنفاذ إلى بيانات معمقة عبر إجراء المقابلات شبه المقننة مع مجموعتين من الطلاب إحداهما لطلاب السنة التحضيرية (مسار العلوم الإنسانية)، وبلغ عددهم (75) طالباً، والمجموعة الأخرى من الطلاب الذي أنهوا متطلباتها حديثاً وبلغ عددهم (35) طالباً، إضافة لمشاهدات الباحث ومعايشته لمجريات السنة التحضيرية بجامعة جدة الناشئة في الفصل الدراسي الأول للعام الدراسي 1439/1440هـ، ورصد الباحث وعينة الدراسة عدداً من المشكلات التي تواجه عملية إدارة السنة التحضيرية، منها هيمنة فكرة الفرز الطلابي على التخصصات الأكاديمية وتأثيرها على عدد من الأبعاد التأسيسية، كما حددت الدارسة الحلول لمعالجة تلك المشكلات، ومنها ضرورة تغيير فلسفة السنة التحضيرية من كونها قائمة على فكرة الفرز الطلابي، إلى فكرة تقوم على بناء شخصية الطالب المتكاملة، وضرورة تعيين مرشد أكاديمي لطلاب السنة التحضيرية، كما بينت الدراسة عدداً من المقترحات؛ منها إلغاء حساب المعدل التراكمي في السنة التحضيرية، وتحويل التقويم فيها إلى اجتياز أو عدم اجتياز، وأن يكون تحديد التخصصات أمراً سابقاً لمجريات السنة التحضيرية.

This study aimed to monitor the problems of the preparatory year management at the University of Jeddah (the path of humanities) according to the availability of the foundational dimensions (philosophy, complementarity, lifelong learning, effective communication, compatibility with university life, the overall university environment, continuous improvement) and work to define solutions to address them The researcher used the qualitative approach to access in-depth data by conducting semi-structured interviews with two groups of students, one of them for the preparatory year students - the path of humanities - and they numbered (75) students, and the other group of students who completed their requirements recently reached (35) students, as well. In view of the researcher's views and his coexistence with the preparatory year course in the University of Jeddah, emerging in the first semester of the academic year 1439/1440 AH. The study also identified solutions to those problems, including the necessity to change the philosophy of the preparatory year from being based on the idea of student screening to an idea based on building the student's integrated personality, as the study showed a number of proposals; including canceling the calculation of the cumulative average in The preparatory year and converting the calendar therein to passing or not passing, and specifying specializations is a precursor to the course of the preparatory year.
