Abstract
This‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ study investigates the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) into Universal Design for Learning (UDL) structures as a means of increasing accessibility and participation in special education. The study has adopted the mixed-method of qualitative case studies, quantitative and an experimental pilot study. The study examined eight studies focusing on students with a variety of disabilities. The findings reveal that AI-driven solutions like adaptive learning platforms, generative content systems, interactive chatbots, and AI scaffolds, could accomplish the following: they can amplify individualized learning, offer numerous modalities of engagement, and facilitate the implementation of inclusive instructional practices. However, a number of issues concerning expansion, teacher skills, ethics, and provision of access to all were found alongside the promising outcomes. The study communicated the effects on research, practice, and policies which pointed out the necessity of longer-term studies, professional development, and setting up ethical standards to ensure the safe and efficient use of AI in inclusive education ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌environments.  The study recommended that educators and school administrators are encouraged to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in coordination with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) goals to improve students' personalized learning, engagement, and accessibility.
