Abstract
The current study aimed to determine Level of awareness of artificial intelligence among high school students in Medina in light of the Situational Awareness Model (SA).The study implemented the descriptive correlational approach, and the study sample consisted of (495) male and female secondary school students. A questionnaire was used to assess the secondary school students’ level of awareness of artificial intelligence in light of the situational awareness model. The results of the study showed that the level of awareness was very high in the "perception" dimension, and a high level in the "understanding" and "prediction" dimensions. The results also showed that the level of awareness of secondary school students regarding artificial intelligence and its educational applications in Madinah was high. The results also showed that the dimensions of perception, understanding, and prediction predict the overall level of students' awareness of artificial intelligence in the educational environment. The results also concluded that the dimensions of situational awareness contribute progressively to predicting the overall awareness of students regarding artificial intelligence in the educational environment.
Keywords: High school students, artificial intelligence awareness, situational awareness model.
