Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the role of ethical leadership practiced by public school principals in Riyadh in enhancing organizational identification among teachers. The study employed a descriptive correlational predictive approach, utilizing a questionnaire. The instrument consisted of two main dimensions: one to measure ethical leadership, and the other to assess organizational identification. The questionnaire was administered to a simple random sample of 408 teachers, the overall level of ethical leadership practice was high, with a mean score of 4.05. Integrity ranked first (4.14), followed by concern for employees (4.06), fairness (4.04), role clarification (4.03), and power sharing (3.98). Meanwhile, the level of organizational identification was very high, with a mean score of 4.35. The belonging dimension ranked highest (4.43), followed by similarity (4.31), and loyalty (4.30). Multiple regression analysis showed that three ethical leadership dimensions significantly predicted organizational identification: integrity (37.9%), power sharing (19.2%), and role clarification (14.1%). However, fairness and concern for employees did not show a significant predictive effect. Additionally, no statistically significant differences were found in organizational identification based on gender, years of experience, or educational stage.
