The present study aimed to examine the predictive power of cognitive flexibility and social support on post-traumatic growth (PTG) among a sample of 435 males and females who had experienced traumatic events. The study also sought to determine the levels of cognitive flexibility, social support, and PTG within the sample, as well as to identify differences in PTG according to gender, age, educational level, and occupational status. To achieve these objectives, the researcher administered three instruments developed by herself: the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Social Support Scale, and the Post-Traumatic Growth Scale. The descriptive method was employed. Data analysis revealed that PTG could be significantly predicted by both cognitive flexibility and social support. Moreover, the findings indicated that participants reported high levels of social support and PTG, whereas their cognitive flexibility was at a moderate level. Statistically significant differences in PTG were found in favor of males over females, and in favor of employed participants over their unemployed counterparts. However, no significant differences were observed in PTG with respect to age or educational level.
