The study aimed to identify the factors leading to relapse after recovery from addiction. The study divided the factors leading to relapse after recovery from addiction into: personal factors and social factors. To achieve this goal, the study applied the social survey method by using a questionnaire tool on a deliberate sample of residents of addiction treatment and rehabilitation centers in the public and private sectors in Riyadh, which amounted to 61 individuals.
The study reached several results, the most important of which are: that the most social factors leading to relapse after recovery from addiction were: first, returning to socialize with old friends who were addicts, second, the family’s constant suspicion, third, the repetition of others reminding the recovering person of his addiction.
While the most personal factors leading

weak will to quit addiction, third, feeling that he is a burden on the family.
The study also found that the overall average of social factors was 3.38, while
