مشروع بلاغة النص العلمي عند عبد الله بانقيب أنموذجا

A Study of Rhetorical Renewal Projects in Saudi Arabia: The Rhetoric of the Scientific Text in Abdullah Banaqeeb’s Work as a Case Study

ملخص الدراسة:

يتناول هذا البحث مشروع بلاغة النص العلمي عند عبد الله بانقيب بوصفه أحد مسارات تجديد الدرس البلاغي في المملكة العربية السعودية. وينطلق من تساؤلات رئيسة، وهي: ما المقصود ببلاغة النص العلمي؟ وما أهم الروافد المعرفية والفكرية التي أسهمت في تشكله؟ وكيف تجلت تصوراته النظرية والإجرائية في التطبيق؟

واعتمدت الدراسة ثلاث مقاربات قرائية: القراءة التأصيلية للكشف عن الجذور الفكرية والعلمية للمشروع، وتجلت في استلهامه أصول البلاغة التراثية، وبعض طرائق التحليل البلاغي عند الشيخين محمد أبو موسى ومحمود توفيق، إلى جانب الإفادة من منجزات البلاغة الجديدة ومقولات فلسفة العلم. والقراءة السياقية التي وضعت المشروع ضمن إطاره الثقافي والبلاغي، مبرزةً صلته بجدلية القديم والجديد في البلاغة العربية. والقراءة النسقية التي أظهرت الجهاز المفاهيمي والإجرائي للمشروع، مؤكدةً توازنه بين التنظير والتطبيق. وخلص البحث إلى أن بانقيب قد وسّع مفهوم النص العلمي ليشمل العلوم الطبيعية والإنسانية معا، مؤسسا لمشروعية دراسة النصوص النقدية والبلاغية بعدّها نصوصا علمية. كما طرح مداخل تحليلية متعددة؛ بيانية، وحجاجية، وأسلوبية، تتنوع بحسب طبيعة النص، مع جعل التأويل مدخلا محوريا للكشف عن المعاني الكامنة في النص. وتؤكد نتائج البحث أن مشروع بلاغة النص العلمي يمثل إسهاما علميا معتبرا في تطوير الدرس البلاغي؛ إذ تجاوب مع متطلبات العصر، وفتح آفاقا جديدة لربط البلاغة بالمعارف الإنسانية والطبيعية، معززا حضور البلاغة العربية كحقل معرفي مرن وقابل للتجديد.

Abstract

This study focuses on Abdullah Banaqeeb’s project on the rhetoric of scientific texts as one of the paths for renewing rhetorical studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It begins with key questions: What does “the rhetoric of scientific texts” entail? What intellectual and theoretical foundations shaped it? And how were its concepts and methods applied?

To address these, the research employs three critical approaches. The foundational reading traces the project’s roots in classical Arabic rhetoric, particularly the methodologies of Muhammad Abu Musa and Mahmoud Tawfiq, while also engaging modern rhetoric and philosophy of science. The contextual reading situates the project within its cultural and rhetorical environment, highlighting its role in debates on tradition and modernity in Arabic rhetoric. The systemic reading explores its conceptual structure and methodological tools, emphasizing the balance between theory and practice.

Findings show that Banaqeeb expands the notion of the “scientific text” to encompass both natural and human sciences. This broader scope legitimizes rhetorical analysis of critical and rhetorical writings as scientific texts. He also proposes diverse analytical methods—stylistic, argumentative, and exegetical—adapted to the nature of each text, with interpretation as a key means of uncovering implicit meanings. For Banaqeeb, scientific texts carry rhetorical value through precision, clarity, and argumentative strength, positioning them alongside literary texts as central to rhetorical inquiry.

In conclusion, Banaqeeb’s project significantly contributes to contemporary rhetorical studies, opening new pathways for linking rhetoric with multiple fields of knowledge and affirming the adaptability and relevance of Arabic rhetoric in modern contexts.
