The Aesthetics of Place and Its Relationships in Narrative Discourse:

“The Novel Leaves of Moringa” as a Case Study

Abstract

The Place holds a dynamic presence in human life, not merely through its architecture and structural design, but as a construct with influence and impact. It represents a mental dimension and a relational perception carried by a human in his consciousness from birth to death. Therefore, this research addresses the aesthetics of place and its relationships in narrative discourse: The novel "Awraq al Moringa" Leaves of Maringa as a Case Study, by discussing its theoretical and procedural concepts. This discussion unfolds through an introduction, two main chapters, and a conclusion. The research examines aesthetics, place, and related concepts, followed by the significance of place and its classifications. Then it goes on to analyze the types of places in the novel and their relationships with other narrative elements, employing a descriptive analytical method in the study. The research concludes with findings, including the multiplicity of places in the novel and the artistic contribution that distinguishes it by utilizing narration to blend real-life and fictionalized reality. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of practical application to contribute to the dynamism and development of scientific research.
