The Semiotics of Paratext in the Story (Heroism of a King)

A Study in Discourse Analysis

ملخص:

نال موضوع العتبات النصية مكانة بارزة في الدراسات النقدية الحديثة، بيد أن الدراسات المتعلقة بالأدب الموجه للشباب (اليافعين) لم تلتفت كثيراً لهذا المجال، لذا جاءت هذه الدراسة لإلقاء الضوء على موضوع العتبات النصية في أحد أهم الفنون الأدبية الموجهة لتلك الفئة وهي القصة، وذلك بتحليل خطاب العتبات النصية في قصة (بطولة ملك)، وبيان أثرها في جذب القارئ لإتمام القصة، وجعله شريكاً فاعلاً في استنتاج التطور الديناميكي للأحداث، لا قطباً في نسق ديداكتيكي (تعليمي)، يمثل فيه المؤلف دور المعلم، ويأخذ المتلقي فيه دور التلميذ، في علاقة ذات أبعاد بيداغوجية، ومن شأن تلك الشراكة أن تدعم بناء النضج الفكري والقوة الإدراكية الحدسية لدى المتلقي.

وقد اتكأت الدراسة على المنهج السيميائي، بغية الكشف عن الدلالات الظاهرة والمضمرة، لاستنباط تقنيات توظيف العتبات النصية في القصة، وبيان أثر العتبة في رفد النص بالجماليات الضامنة لنجاح القصة.

وقد جاءت الدراسة في مبحثين، الأول: سيميائية العتبات النصية في قصة (بطولة ملك) فيها تحليل لعتبات: الغلاف والعنوان الرئيس والمقدمة والعناوين الفرعية، والثاني: تفاعل العتبات وآفاق التلقي، وخلصت الدراسة إلى تفاعل العتبات النصية مع النص، وإسهامها في استعادة أحداث القصة أو تكثيفها، وخلق فضاء تخييلي للقارئ، وبؤراً نصية مراوغة، قادرة على اجتذاب المتلقي وتحفيزه على القراءة التأويلية، والمشاركة في الإنتاج والتشكيل وبناء رسالة خطابية متواشجة الرؤى والأدوات، بما يخلق توقعاً ذاتياً لمدركات التأويل لدى المتلقي اليافع، وذلك بتأثير العلاقة الجدلية بين نهايات القصص وبداياتها، التي تتشكل منها منظومة تعاضدية تخلق توتراً منطقياً يؤدي إلى التماسك النصي والترابط بين حلقات الخطاب بشكل عام.

Abstract:

The topic of paratext has occupied a prominent position in recent critical studies. However, studies related to literature directed at young adults have not paid much attention to this field. Therefore, this study aims to shed light on paratext in one of the most important literary arts directed to that category— the story. This is done by analyzing the discourse of paratext in the story (Heroism of a King) and clarifying its effect in attracting the reader in completing the story, making him or her an active partner during events and the interpretation of situations, which supports building intellectual maturity and intuitive cognitive strength in the recipient.

The study employed a semiotic approach to reveal apparent and implicit meanings, derive techniques of employing paratext the story, and to clarify its effect in enriching the text with aesthetics that guarantee the success of the story.

The study concluded that paratext contribute to restoring or intensifying the events of the story, and create a fictional space, giving the reader room to fill in the gaps and motivating him or her to read interpretatively and participate in the production, formation, and construction of a discursive message with intertwined visions and tools, setting expectations for the young recipient’s interpretation through the influence of the dialectical relationship between the endings of stories and their beginnings, from which a supportive wording that creates a logical tension leading to textual cohesion and interconnection between the links of discourse in general.
