 Between Content and Spatial Connotations

A Comparative Narrative Study

 

المُستخلص:

يقوم هذا البحث على دراسة نصين أحدهما من الأدب العربي، والآخر من الأدب الإنجليزي، هما: "حي بن يقظان" لـ "ابن طفيل"، و" ربنسون كروز" لـ "دانييل ديفو"، دراسة سردية مقارنة، وقد اخترت دراسة "الفضاء المكاني" بوصفه مكونًا أساسًا من مكونات السرد وآلياته؛ لما له من أهمية، وقيمة كبيرة في الدراسات السردية، فهو يشتمل –غالبًا-على مجالات متعددة للأماكن في النص، سواء أكان فضاء جغرافيًا، أم نصيًا، أم دلاليًا، وهو ما يزيد من إمكانية دراسة المعنى، وسبر أغوار الدلالة. وتستعين الدراسة بالتتبع الدلالي؛ لقراءة بنية المكان، باعتباره أحد مكونات البنية السردية الدالة

Abstract

This research is based on the study of two texts, one from Arabic literature and the other from English literature, namely: Hayy Bin Yaqzan by Ibn Tufail, and Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, a comparative narrative study. The study of “physical space” was chosen, due to being a basic component of narration and its mechanisms, because of its importance and great value in narrative studies, it often includes multiple areas of places in the text, whether it is a geographical space, textual, or semantic, which increases the possibility of studying the meaning and exploring the depths of connotation.  The study uses semantic tracking, to read the structure of the place, as one of the components of the functional narrative structure.
